Amnesia Ibiza
Amnesia in Ibiza is a superclub that can hold in excess of 5000 people that is based near the village of San Rafael near the super club Privilege. The club is famous for hosting mega nights such as Cream and Cocoon, having big name DJ’s playing and winning best global club at the International Dance Music Awards in 07, 08, 09 and 2011.
Amnesia has been around since 1976 and is one of the oldest clubs on the island. Apart from being a great clubbing experience Amnesia found fame due to it being featured in the film Kevin and Perry Go Large.
Amnesia was famous for its open air clubbing however due to noise complaints they had to cover it towards the end of the 90′s.
Onen of the most famous features at Amnesia are its Ice Cannons on the dance floor. These Cannons fire of cold air onto the dance floor all through the night cooling you down.
Entry to Amnesia will set you back any thing from 20 Euros for one of the smaller nights to 50 Euros for a night such as Cream.
Drinks at Amnesia are in line with all the other clubs so expect to be spending around 10 Euros on a bottle of beer.
Getting to Amnesia is quite easy with the club laying on transport (buses) from San Antonio for the big nights. You also have the option of getting taxis or a bus there.
