BBC Radio 1 In Ibiza 2011
Exciting news that Radio One in Ibiza, one of the most looked forward to events in the Ibiza calendar have confirmed all of their details.
The annual event will take place on Friday 5th August 2011 and features Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Rob Da Bank.
It will start with Rob Da Bank warm up party for 4000 people at the Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel in Playa D’en Bossa. This party replaced the previously announced Radio 1 party at Space, the location had to be changed due to unforeseen logistical reasons. This is almost guaranteed to be one of the hottest parties in Ibiza. The party kicks of at 3.30pm local time and Rob Da Bank will be joined by SBTRK, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Hip Hop Karaoke, Professor Green and DJ Alfredo.
Later on in the day from 7pm to 11pm is when they switch to on-air with Pete Tong and Annie Mac on the decks alongside Example, Calvin Harris, Erick Morillo, Carl Cox, 2 Bears, Skream with Sam Frank PA, Little Dragon, Shawnee Taylor, Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela, Azari & III.

The Radio 1 party closes at 12am (local time) but you will still be able to listen on air from 11pm-5pm (UK time) as there will be a extended Live Essential Mix from Come Together at Space. The line up for this will include, Deadmau5, Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, Knife Party live, Magnetic Man live & Skream and Benga.
Finally after all this the broadcast (which is 12 hours long) comes to a close between (5am and 7am UK time) when Rob Da Bank will be on the Space roof terrace with special guests popping in.
The party is restarted on Saturday afternoon when Vernon Kay presents a live show (4pm local time) featuring a host of the Radio 1 dance DJ’s from Friday night. When Vernon finishes at 7pm he will hand over to Trevor Nelson at 7pm who will close out the Ibiza weekender for Radio 1 and Radio 1 Xtra.
