Ibiza Review
This was not my first time on a Ibiza clubbing holiday, I have infact been 5 times before but I was looking forward to this one quite a bit. The reason for this was the guys I go with normally prefer clubbing holiday destinations such as Ayia Napa but this time they had vowed to try to live the Ibiza life for at least some of the days and try something different, so this is the diary of how that went.
Wednesday Night.
We always fly out from Luton on Easyjet and for some reason they seem to think that we always want to fly out late at night and arrive in the early hours of the morning (If you are reading this Easyjet, we dont) Anyways the flight was only delayed by 30 mins and for the Ibiza flight that is basically on time, we arrived and got a taxi from the airport to our appartment (The Poinente Playa) and by the time we got ready to go out and everything it was 3am ish the only destination we could of went was the west end, so we did.
The West End was heaving as always and we went into the Twice As Nice Bar (2nice) which was alright and the music was good if that is your sort of thing. From there we went across the road to Soul City which is a urban music nightclub that is free to enter and open till 6. After this people just really wander around get some food and socialise on the street before heading back of to bed.
Thursday
We are not ones for doing an awful lot during the day, however a friend of ours was working out there so we spend most days just hanging out on the beach. There is the main beach near the egg, but be sure to try Pinet Beach which you can get to with a 4€ water taxi from the harbour.
Thursday night we went to Twice as Nice where Sean Paul and Tim Westwood were headlining the event. Twice as Nice is held at Eden which is also located across the road from Es Paradis. Sean Paul performed for over a hour which was pretty good, Tim Westwood was also on for around a hour and a half and the event was rammed so all in all it was a very good night. We didnt leave here till around 5.30 (it was open until 7) so after a quick wonder around the West End it was back to the hotel for some well needed sleep.

Friday
After hanging out with our friends all day we couldn’t decide where we wanted to go. Its All Gone Pete Tong at Pacha looked like the best night on but due to it not really being our scene the 68€ price tag was a little of putting for some. On top of this I had been to wonderland quite a few times before so I wasnt to fussed that people wanted to give it a pass. We had a wonder round the West End for a few hours stopping in at a lot of bars along the way, this was nice and we got to visit some bars that we normally wouldnt of hit up so all in all I think it was a pretty good night. Unfortuantly I dont remember the names of most of them but one I do was Capones. This bar had a good mix of people and was a lot of fun so I would recomend to give it a shot. Again we left the strip around 5/6 am and wondered back to the room for some more sleep.
Saturday
This night started quite early for us as we was going to the Zoo Project. I didnt really know that much about the zoo apart from it was in a abandoned zoo (im not even sure if that is true). However we got into the sprit of things got our faces painted and off we went to the Zoo which was absolutley heaving with people. One thing I found a bit strange was that on the tickets it said no cameras, I cannot however see any reason for this (If you know please leave a comment). Inside the vibe was very chilled out and we just spent the night talking to people, it was actually a very good place to socalise, have some drinks and listen to some good music. I would recommended that everyone who goes to Ibiza checks out the Zoo Project (on a Saturday, we have heard the Wednesday isnt that good). After the Zoo a lot of people just sort of wander around the West End so we did the same for a few hours (zoo finishes at 12 and starts at 5pm)
Sunday
Bora Bora was the words on everybodys lips, followed by Space, we decided to follow the crowd and do the same thing. When we got over to Bora Bora there was a party in full swing on the beach and a LOT of people there. In hindsight we probably should have gotten over there earlier but we had fun drinking with random people on the beach and generally having a good time. After doing that for a few hours we headed into Space (it was 60€ to go in anytime and 30€ to go in before 10.30) We went to Space with a very open mind as this is not really something we would listen to, I had been once before but the people I was with never really gave it a chance so I vowed to spend a few hours in there. We hit up one of the main rooms and hit the dancefloor where the beats where in full swing. However what I wasnt expecting was to listen to the same song for like 15 mins at a time, it wasnt bad at all and everybody was having a great time. Space is a truly beautiful club and you should go and check it out, but it wasnt for me (I did stay till 5.30am ish at which time quite a few people were leaving so maybe I didnt do to badly at all?)
Monday
Theres not much to say about Monday as Sunday was our last night where we could go out. We had to wait around all day long as our flight wasnt till 1.15am on Tuesday morning but at least we had the room and wasnt waiting in reception. We got to the airport, checked in and the flight departed on time and actually got us home 30 mins earlier.
All in all we all had a great time, I would say to anybody who is going to Ibiza for a clubbing holiday to definatly put the Zoo Project on their list as it was really the stand out of the holiday. I find that if you give yourself to the Ibiza way of life and go into everything with out any assumptions in your head, you will have an amazing time even if it isnt your scene.
