We all like to see people do funny things, so we all like Matt Pritchard from Dirty Sanchez right? Of course we do. We caught up with Pritchard to talk about Dirty Sanchez, Ibiza and what he has planned for 2011.
Hi Matt, people know you best from Dirty Sanchez, tell us how that all came about?
Well, it all happened over 10 years ago with a video myself and Dainton made in 1999 titled Pritchard vs Dainton. the video was based on skateboarding with some of the top uk skateboarders at the time. Along with the skateboarding came the tom foolery of myself, Dainton, Joycey and the sleeping antics of Pancho. The video became the biggest most talked about skate vid in UK history and soon magazines like FHM, loaded etc were doing stories on it. its wasn’t long before MTV came knocking and the rest is history.

What they might not know is that your a hardcore Ibiza fan, tell us about why you love Ibiza?
For many years Ive always wanted to visit Ibiza for obvious reasons but due to skate comps and demos many years ago I was unable to go as I was always away skateboarding. When Sanchez came along and we started doing gigs we received a phone call off our agent telling us that Ibiza rocks have booked us for a residency on the island. As soon as my ears heard that I was like a kid in a sweet shop. As soon as i touched down on that soil I never looked back. It was everything I thought it was gonna be and more. I love the music, the clubs, the atmosphere the people. There’s so much to like on the island its untrue. I really enjoy sitting on the rocks with a few beers watching the sun go down at cafe mambo. I could do that every day of the week easily. I’m sure when you speak to most people who have been to the island quite a few say there’s something magical about the place, I totally agree.

What type of music are you into? What are your current favourite songs?
I’m into almost everything but if I had to pick a certain sound it’ll have to be rock’n’roll and hard dance. When I go clubbing to a dance night the harder the better for me, really not into mellow stuff at all unless its chilling on the beach. “Go hard or go home” I know its a cheesy saying but its true especially when it comes to Ibiza. I’m into music by Lisa Lashes, Kutski, Eddie Haliwell, Micky Slim etc.

What is your favourite night on the island?
It has to be Judgment Sundays, it was the first night I went to when I first went to the island and it still remains the best for many reasons. The atmosphere, crowd, dancers, acts, dj’s and to top it off its run by a great bunch of people. Warm up at the EGG bar and PLASTIK then hit Eden for Judgment booooom.

What is the best night you have had in Ibiza?
Shit a brick that’s a hard one, I cant pick sorry, every nights a good night even when your feeling like shit from too much.

Has there been any crazy Dirty Sanchez type antics go down in Ibiza?
Plenty, Ibiza Rocks put us up in a huge posh villa in the hills with this massive swimming pool. As I was sitting in it I could feel this powerful surge of water hitting my back so I pulled my shorts down and stuck my arse hole on it and filled my arse up with water (home made enema) and shit it all over the boys hahahaha.

What does 2011 have in store for you?

At the moment im training hard for the ironman challenge which is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride then a 26.2 mile marathon all to be finished in 17 hours. as soon as Ive finished that 3 days later my treat is to go to Ibiza for the week of partying.
